I've used a Brownie's Third Lung setup on a couple of occassions
and have enjoyed the freedom that it afforded me for shallow reef
diving, and working underneath of a boat.

As with any type of life support equipment, I'd be skeptical
of it until you can have it thoroughly inspected by a professional
technician.
