Barrichello boost for Stewart

(21-Oct-98) - Rubens Barrichello finished fastest in testing at Silverstone
yesterday, the Brazilian putting his Stewart ahead of Williams, Jordan and
Benetton. World Champion Jacques Villeneuve was second fastest in the last
day of testing at the Northamptonshire circuit.

The Canadian was taking part in the William's final test before the
Japanese Grand Prix and the team left in a positive mood.

"This test has gone pretty well for us," said test team manager
Bryan Lambert. "We have achieved all we set out to achieve and are
looking forward to a good fight at Suzuka."

The Jordan of Damon Hill was third fastest, despite spinning and stalling.
The team worked on engine preparation for the Japanese Grand Prix where
Mugen-Honda's new engine will make its debut as the team attempt to take
third place in the Constructors' Championship.

The Benettons of Giancarlo Fisichella and Alexander Wurz finished the day
fourth and sixth respectively, split by the Arrows of Mika Salo.
