That little 351 wound up pretty good when I lived in El Paso.. managed to get
it up to about 70 going up some STEEP hills (floored). One day I couldn't
get
past 45 though.. floored.. in second gear. You gotta love windy days (so
windy that when I opened the hood to check the oil, the wind grabbing the
hood
lifted me AND the hood!)
Around here there's no hills. Bah.

351M (actually considered a big block), 160k. I've (accidentally) spun it
well past redline before though. Last time was last week when the gas pedal
got stuck on the floor with it in neutral. I'd hazard to say it hit at least
6k... probably blew some chunks of carbon right out the exhaust I bet.

That DOES help when you want to rebuild. :)

This is my first vehicle, though hardly the first thing I've driven. I
BELIEVE I'm the second owner of the truck; when I got it, the original
reciept
dated July 1980 was in the glove box, along with maintenance records up to
the
mid 80's, owners manual, and lots of other papers. All with the same name on
them.
