At lower volumes, it's a very nice, round, `brown' sound. As you turn
it up (only vol, mic vol and tone controls) it breaks up very sweetly.
It doesn't do mega-gain, like the hopped up Marshalls and Boogies, but
it has a very organic tone.
If you have any tolerance for the blues, check out the first few ZZ Top
cd's. Most people's exposure to them is of the radio variety (Legs,
Sharp Dressed Man) but their earlier stuff is a joy to hear, and not at
all synth-driven.
