You know, corperate desicion or not, X-men 137 stands as one of the true
classics, & for 5 years, Jean Grey was listed as amongst the dead.
Pretty fancy re-writing of comics history, having her replaced back in
x-men 101 by the phoenix! You know, if you want to read just how strict
the comics code was, when first imlimented back in march of 55, cheack
out comic market place 58, to see an article reprinted from that
year.Man,It had a strangle hold right up into 1971. Anyway, under the
original code rules, Phoenix HAD to pay for her crimes of planitary
genocide! I beleave she also wipped out a shir starship & its crew.You
just KNOW that eventualy, she would have got her powers back,& she would
have had to be killed sooner or later.She had become the most dangerous
entity not just on earth but in the galaxy.Clarmont crossed the point of
no return with her after 135.
