If I had gotten it, that flathead 6 would have stayed in there.. :)  Rather 
keep it original.

Tranny rebuild ($350), oil leak (probably $100 since the tranny has to come 
out to fix it anyway), exhaust system ($300).  Those are the 3 major things.  
It has some other odds and ends wrong; the biggest two are the heater core 
and 
the power brake booster (has a vacuum leak.. engine still seems to run fine, 
but the booster always hisses inside the truck).  Smaller things are the 
passenger side inside door handle (broken) and headliner (sagging, previous 
owner stapled it up and I've kept it that way since I've had it).  Needs some 
body work, but I'm not worried about that.
... 24 hours in a day and 24 beers in a case...  Hmmm...
