Quite often (for reasons unknown) the file shares don't show up in "Network
neighbourhood".
I've found this to be quite a common problem, but easily overcome by
creating shortcuts on the desktop.

I've also found that it is prone to locking up when copying large files (eg,
ISO images).
HHHmmm, I've just realised, I haven't seen this particular problem for a
couple of months.

Nope. :-(

We don't tend to have problems with MP3's either, as long as the file shares
can actually be found in the first place, and usually, once they ARE found
they'll stay found until the next reboot.
