BL> Modem? I'd have to buy one of those because my ISA internal BL> modem is only 14400, and the new modem would be worth more than BL> the box. JB> $50 at cash converters, probably true nonetheless. Can you buy computer stuff at cash converters? I'd never thought of that! BL> And then I'd have to get an ISA network card when Wireless BL> makes more sense. Do they have wireless ISA? JB> There may be wireless adaptors than can be connected to the EAN JB> port of a regular ethernet card. Why bother... been there, done that, chasing obsolete technology. Bill Gates set the agenda: upgrade every three years, and then don't support the old stuff; subtly change the new stuff so it makes the old stuff slip into limbo. The *reality* of computers, is that we had all the performance we needed five years ago. Win98 was good enough, but he keeps moving on, building a bigger system that runs slower unless you buy a faster computer, etc, etc. The best part of the joke is that Linux is doing the same! In *reality* all I use a computer for was served perfectly well by Win311 (ten years old - how time flies).
