       I've got my LAN sweet under Win98, and now I've got it running
under Linux and Samba too.

 It's like chalk and cheese.

 Although the Microsoft help documentation is singularly unhelpful,
once you do the translation and fiddle for a while, it's incredibly
easy. Microsoft really needs someone to write a proper HELP for them.
The actual system is easier than the description.

 Once upon a time (on planet Earth, far,far away) Microsoft used to
write really nice documentation. My old WORD manual was a masterpiece.
I actually learned programming out of the WordBasic manual. It seems
that once they stopped chopping down trees and using real paper, M$
let the uniwankers take control and write rubbish without meaning. I
admire the useless cunts. It's not easy to write a hundred pages that
is totally meaningless, but on the other hand, why would you?

 I move now to Linux (pronounced Linnicks). we move to a whole new
level of uniwanker garbage. Everyone tells me that Samba is fabulous,
written by your genuine Australian and it really works. Thank Christ
he's in Western Australia. The poor man is insane! It's a shambles.

 Samba itself works okay - but the documentation! There are 150+
pages describing the twenty-line configuration file! And that's just
the manual entry. There are hundreds of other pages of description,
all obviously written by someone else, (many someone elses). I
didn't bother to count the *actual* commands, but most of them are
duplicated ten times. Create mode = create mask = etc = god only knows
how it's supposed to work.

 It's *really* sad. Here is a guy who can write soemthing that works,
but he can't describe it. He is totally out of touch with this world.
It needs a different skill, to approach Samba as a complete tyro, to
put yourself in a dickhead's shoes and see the meaningless words and
phrases the way he does, and write them so they take on simplicity,
and clarity. Any fuckwit can write a complex program, all it takes is
persistence and isolation, what the average dork sees as genius... but
it takes a *true* genius to make it simple.

 Sadly, we seem to have lost that genius, and Linux (pronounced
Linnicks) has the least genius of all.

 Uniwankers all...

 Ba'al help us (and I know he won't).
