  Not really. Since I'm only temporary moderator, acting for the duration of 
the elections, I can overlook a lot of stuff that I normally wouldn't. The 
next duly elected moderator may wish to establish different rules about the 
use of pseudonyms than I would, so why break a sweat about this instance?
  What I will enforce are rules against blatantly off-topic posts, 
"excessively annoying" behavior, and those messages which encourage, support, 
or defend software piracy. It was just such a thread, combined with the 
realization that we were one month from losing our Elist entry that triggered 
the current moderator election.
