Without a permanent internet connection, the internet wouldn't exist.
Like it or not, it is a fact of life, and regardless of whether you choose
to be online or not, you are going to be affected by whatever happens on the
'net, both good and bad. Hiding your head in the sand isn't going to make it
go away.
