* In a message originally to Bob Lawrence, Jasen Betts said: > I'd almost forgotten about 50 ohm BNC connector "thin" ethernet. > I've never EAN + drop-cable seen a "thick" ethernet setup. (EAN > is that 15 pin socket) I have an XT & a 386 connected this way using a Lantastic network - it utilises a pair of Lantastic branded (Artisoft) network cards that use this type of connection - they've been chugging away for around 12 years (both machines originally powered the BBS at some stage). Neither are currently wired to the XP machine but I really should get around to it one day. No bloody idea how to work out that kind of networking nightmare though & I see no real reason to swap the two older machines off Lantasic... any ideas anyone ? cheers, Lance ---* Origin: Landover Amiga BBS - http://commodore.thebbs.org (3:712/313) SEEN-BY: 633/104 260 262 267 270 285 640/954 690/734 712/311 313 848 970 SEEN-BY: 774/605 @PATH: 712/313 848 633/260 267 |
