No Irvine - Alesi swap

(11-Oct-98) - The Italian press has caused some confusion by reporting that
Eddie Irvine would have to leave the team with Jean Alesi re-joining the
team.

Ferrari president Luca di Montezemolo was quick to deny the rumour: "I
have read some unbelievable things about Irvine in the papers. They don't
even deserve to be denied. It's like talking about things which happen on
the moon. But then in 20 years with Ferrari, it's always been like this and
I would be surprised if it wasn't."

Michael Schumacher is very happy with Eddie Irvine. Both driver can get
along very well and have similar driving styles and favor similar setups on
the car which allow for easier testing.
