FR>Hi All;
FR>I've been using Juno for about 1 1/2 years now, and I noticed that on
FR>my hard drive that I have about 176 sub directories under "Ads".
FR>So is it safe to delete most of these directories?
FR>I contacted the Juno support system about this, and their automated
FR>system did not give me a direct answer on this.
FR>Fred from Maryland
FR>I don't have internet access, so does anyone know where I can get
FR>internet access for FREE? (Besides the library)
I use Juno too, and I think it would be safe to delete all the subdirectories
in the ads folder. Because about every other time you log onto Juno, more
adveratisements are downloaded automatically, and sometimes you can wind up
with a whole lot of ads from a long time ago because sometimes Juno doesn't
delete the old ads automatically. However, these ads are something you most
likely won't need to worry about, because they may only be taking up about
2MB hard drive space. If you delete those ads, Juno will just put new ads in
there place, and they will just build up again. I don't even bother sending
feedback to Juno, because of their automated reply system.
If you have a friend that has the Interent or know of a place that has I'net
access, do a search at Yahoo, AltaVista, WebCrawler, And Excite for the
keyword Free Interent. I've seen some info on some free interent services on
TV, but those services are no longer accepting new users because they don't
have the bandwidth to hold that many users. Also, most small ISPs usually
have an acount that gives you something like 50 hours for $10 a month. Just
check around.
