Probably correct but something tells me that would reasonably perform better
with a point light source.  The older polarizers didn't do much under
diffused light, and my application is with multiple umbrella setups.  I fear
the only way to get what I'm after is with a ND filter of appropriate
strength.

Would need a bit of the master roll from which those tissues are cut, since
the umbrellas in use run up to 48 inches!
