Yes, that is so.

I know that as a result of the most recent internet virus we were unable to
deposit a cheque into our bank last week. Thousands of other people, many
of them who don't even own a computer were similarly affected, so I satnd by
by comment, The internet and what goes on on the internet is a fact of life
that affects us all, regardless of whether you like it or not.

Yeah, sure it is Bob.

ROFL. Yeah, I remember when Gaelyne and I first 'met' - we used to chat via
fidonet all the time - Fidonet certainly made it easy - taking up to a week
to get a reply back from any given message. At least with the internet
email it is possable to actuall 'chat' in real-time.

Sorry to burst your bubble bob, but the Internet is no longer a fad, and it
ISN'T going to go away.

I've already mentioned last weeks banking scenario. Perhaps I should also
mention that the goings on on the Internet also affected the running of
trains in various parts of the country, and although you may not be aware of
it, a large portion of any overseas telephone conversation these days is
dependent entirely on the internet.
Should I also go on to mention that Centrelink and many other governmental
departments are also 100% reliant on the Internet these days - If the
Internet goes down you could be waiting a long time for your next pension
cheque.

So you can hear what you want when you want, rather than having to listen to
what someone else thinks you need to hear.
> Why buy a camera when I have a memory?
So you can share your experiences with other people, using pictures rather
than words.

Sorry to tell you this Bob, but after a few decades the human brain tends to
suffer various different ailments, including loss of memory, and sometimes
the inability to think in a logical manner.

If you are still trying to suggest that the Internet is simply a fad used by
no-one other than kiddies and pornographers then I fear that you really have
lost touch with reality.
Cheers
Rod
