Hi Bob, * In a message originally to All, Bob Lawrence said: > Laptops are still $2,000+ so I guess that's where the demand is, but > the PC has reached the end of the line. The market is saturated. The > demand that was been driven by increased speed, capacity, whatever... > has died. And good riddance. I'm still selling as many new upgrade components & new MoBo's as ever - the market is nowhere near saturated & people *always* want faster machines. That particular market is nowhere near dead - with cheaper prices, themarket has somewhat increased - I'm selling around 30% more new MoBo's now than a year ago - how do you figure saturation ? Also, with the availability & advertiing of cheap broadband & ISDN - I'm seeing more people who have never owned a PC getting one these days. It's an increasing marketplace, not stagnant or decreasing. cheers, Lance ---* Origin: 42 Degrees South +61-3-6297-8499 (3:712/313.1) SEEN-BY: 633/104 260 262 267 270 285 640/954 690/734 712/311 313 848 970 SEEN-BY: 774/605 @PATH: 712/313 848 633/260 267 |
