Actually, it's a bizarro (British?) designation.  1k5 = 1.5k
  wondering how it will sound with the >AES pan.  They are apparently
  the newer style 3-spring >units, and I read that the original used
  2-spring pans.
Probably will sound great... I'll check on the values, but I believe the
one in the book is the same one you have.
