Hungarian organisers dig deep (23-Oct-98) - Organisers of the Hungarian Grand Prix will have to pay the $250,000 fine imposed on them by the FIA, from loans unless they can have the order to pay postponed. The FIA imposed the fine after fans invaded the track following August's Grand Prix. "We shall ask the FIA to postpone payment of the fine." said Janos Berenyi, head of Hungaroring Sports. "If they refuse, we shall have to pay the fine from loans," Of the original $1 million fine, $750,000 was suspended unless a similar incident occurs at the Hungaroring venue over the next two years. --- Msged/386 4.20 beta 4* Origin: Blizzard of Ozz, Melbourne, Australia (3:635/728.4{at}fidonet) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 633/267 |
