Sorry to jump in. But with my short experience with these ring necks I've 
come to the conclusion that they (at lest mine) never get fully tame. 3 out
of the five babies that my pair produced are biters. And these were hand fed. 
It has upset me a bit to the point that I just placed an ad to sell the
parents for $250. They are beautifil birds, but If the babies bite, there are 
no demands for them.
