Stewart denies job share

(23-Oct-98) - Following Dave Richards departure from Benetton on Monday,
rumours are already circulating that he will join Stewart Grand Prix,
possibly in a joint management role with Jackie Stewart.

Ford is believed to be unhappy with the performance of the Stewart at times
this season.

Theoretically, Ford, whose BTCC Mondeos are being run by Richard's firm
Prodrive next year, would be glad of his input and experience.

Jackie Stewart was not amused by the idea and denied it all. "I have
heard nothing about these plans," he said. "There is no truth in
them whatsoever".
