JB>> Maybe he plans to. Apple hung their Mac GUI off BSD (a JB>> different brand of free unix). Be afraid, Be veery afraid. BL> Windows grows more and more likne Unix all the time, JB> More and more like VMS actually :) It seems that *everything* to do with computers is converging, heading to its end-point. Even programming languages converge. In the late 80s when VB arrived, it was obvious that *that* was the way to handle a GUI, but BASIC sucks. C++ was still stuffing around with objects the hard way and LINUX was still promising to write a proper GUI, so I went with Pascal - then Delphi when Borland re-jigged their TurboVision into a VB clone. Since then, I've watched all three (C++, VB, and Delphi) come together with Java thrown in as a sort-of BASIC-clone. Now Windows and Linux are converging... The part that I find sad, is that they are converging the wrong way.
