I was never stranded with any of my bikes, except the last, all but the last which didn't have points. The Yamaha XS 1100 Special however had no kickstarter or points. One day the battery fell to about 11 1/2 volts and the computer refused to even try to start the bike. Took acquiring a new battery to get it going again which is not something I'd carry a spare for on the bike. Fortunately I was but three blocks from home at a laundramat. --- MultiMail/MS-DOS v0.43* Origin: FidoTel & QWK on the Web! www.fidotel.com (1:275/311) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 275/311 10/345 106/1 2000 633/267 |
