As I've said b4, I don't trust MS either, which is why I don't use MS
products to secure our network. That is what the Linux box is for.
However, I DO trust MS a lot more than I trust the hackers, so if MS release
a patch to fix a security flaw then I figure I'm safer to apply the patch
than to not apply it.

Get real Bob.
Do you SERIOUSLY beleive the DD and ourselves are the only people in the
world to have been online 24/7 for many years and remained virus free?
The fact of the matter is that there are MILLIONS of people just like us,
but you won't hear about it on the daily news because it simply isn't
newsworthy. When was the last time you saw a headline that read something
like "2 billion people didn't get hit by a car today" - Yet it isn't
uncommon to read a daily report that SOMEONE DID get hit by a car?

News reports of virus infections are no different. DD and ourselves are
really not the exceptions that you imply we are. Every single day there
would be thousands of people with a new virus infection on their machine,
but at the same time, there are still millions of us that simply sit back
and watch all of these virus probes harmlessly get dropped by our firewalls
(or dumbells, if that is what you want to call them today).
