Quoting Gord Hannah to All concerning Seal Again :-((:
GH> I have a problem with getting seal to work properly.
GH> I cannot get it to send a message to my uplink asking for
GH> the echo let alone perform properly.
When you define your nodelinks, you will need to set the
management flag "R" to tell SEAL to request the echoes
automatically. Here is your nodelink info from 1 of the lines
you listed in your message:
GH>[NodeLinks]
GH>1:17/23.1 "Gord Hannah" xxxxxx 0 * 0 lc *& s english
And below is on of mine:
; NODELINKS

[NodeLinks]
1:11/303="Marty Blankenship",********,1,AB,1,AB,PLKH,,R,ENGLISH
Note the R before the ENGLISH, that tells SEAL to forward
requests for this node. It must be set for every node that you
want to automatically forward requests for.
Looking at your EchoFeeds section, you need to insure that you
define the file that SEAL is to read to locate which echoes are
valid and available like this:
[EchoFeeds]
1:2215/180=Areafix,********,1,A,PLKD,1:2215/118,Yes,,,,C:\EM\,,
{at}BACKBONE.NA
The {at}BACKBONE.NA at the end tells SEAL where to look.
The line that you quoted in your message didn't have that in
it, and your message was split, so I can't quote yours back to
you.
I hope this helps you get it working.
