To access the mass market, they have to make computers easy to use. There just aren't enough nerds to make a market, but there are plenty of nerds to spoil it with viruses. It seems that Windows is now so easy, that even dickheads can stuff the system world-wide. How to solve that problem? Everyone knows the answer: Linux, but M$ persists in stuffing around with the wrong answer.
