When I first took French in high school, I was told that it was 
an "easy language to learn".  That was because the verbs were 
always so regular.  But, day one in class brought out all of 
the irregular verbs used in French!   

Per a message in another Echo, and I agree, the best way to 
learn a language is to be immersed in it.  For me, I learned 
more French in one short semester than I did with 3 years in 
high school.
