Tetra's eh?  I am thinking the same thing.  Try adding some simple angel fish 
to the little cloud of tetras.  A clown loach I think will get along with 
both.
I'm about to setup a second tank too, and a third as a 'sick tank and plant 
tank'.  (Have to see my stand to understand this, but it has one big 70 
gallon tank atop, and space for 2 20 gallon tanks below).  The big tank is 
goldfish (actually have some coi in there mixed with regular smaller ones).
