Hi Bettie: 
I think this book was published prior to the war, but it may be the pattern
you are looking for.  It certainly has a similar name. 
It is a Quilt In A Day book, by Eleanor Burns.  It is called Lover's Knot. 
It should still be in print, and your quilt store or fabric store should
have it. 
Let me know if you have trouble finding it, I think I have a copy I would
be willing to part with (just can't remember every QIAD title I have).
