If you have a W2000 system and you want to create a mirror, you need two dynamic disks. If you have c:\winnt on a Basic disk and you want to mirror C: drive, you have to first convert C: to a Dynamic disk. Exception: If you have an NT4 Server with mirrored drives and you upgrade it to W2000 you will end up with a mirror on Basic disks. But you can't create such a mirror in W2000.
