would a Kindle or other eBook work? You should be able to use one with one
hand.

Might be time to discover podcasts, if you haven't already. They're a great
way to make use of otherwise idle time. I love listening to podcasts on my
commute to/from work, makes better use of sometimes 2 hours a day.
