I've no experience with Ghost, but Acronis is $20 cheaper. The personal
edition doesn't do tapes, however. The features I like are
- Blazingly fast backup; it backs up my 12G of data from 3 partitions in
about 20 minutes.
- These image backups do not require me to reboot into some "native" mode.
- The images can be "mounted" as virtual drives for file-by-file restore.
- Excellent tech support. I'd added a zero-channel 2015S raid
controller to the machine which it couldn't recognize. Three or four days
after reporting it, I was directed to download a fixed version for my use,
and the fix was incorporated into their next build a couple of weeks later.
