re - becoming a priest - it sounds like you've pretty much answered
your own questions by answering mine in writing. I often find it that
way with skilled sponsorship - or just skilled fellow AA members or
other fellowships. They don't tell me the answer, but they lead me to
find the answer inside myself. I am usually skeptical of anyone who
tells me how to run my life anyway.
.
Well, good luck to you. I hope this won't offend anyone, but recently
I was given a picture of Christ that says underneath "I never promised
you it would be easy, I only promised you it would be worth it". Is
this correct for me? I don't know yet. I don't have the strong faith
of the woman who gave it to me, that's for sure. And recent events in
my life have me questioning my particular Church, as I'm sure you can
see by my previous message to you and this one, as well as God -
especially the traditional Patriachal concept of God - and Christ also
and many other things. This is why I am mostly using meditation and
not "prayer" these days - personally< i don't know what to say and I'm
unsure Who or What I am addressing. Actually, I'm becoming quite a
cynic.
.
But I do hope it's true for me and I also hope this is true for you.
Becoming a priest as a recovering alcoholic certainly won't be easy.
I hope it proves to be worth it to you.
