One should remember that the internet started life as a US DOD project
-- do they EVER let go of that information/control they ever get hold
of? (even if Congress itself demands they let go, they have the power to
claim that they have special privilege on the basis of "national
security"!) :|
I think most of us in here know about the overseas long distance
monitoring("mining"?) done post-WW II by the USDOD, eh? :|
That's old hat to them now -- the Internet has come into its own,and it
appears that Gates has his old security wish of a camera on every street
corner & in every home!) :|
