A Laptop is a handy piece of equipent to have a boat especialy if you are
going to do any cruising, I have a Mac Powerbook 165 that I take with me. I
currently do not have a cellular phone, so when I am away at the dock I can
not talk to anyone elses computer :(. I have however writen a very usefull
log program that keeps track of such things as
** Wheater Forcasts/Observations
** Course Data, Speed, ECT (With built in calculation Functions
** Radio LOGs (With contact and bulliten database)
** Inventory Database (VERY HANDY TO KEEP TRACK OF STORES)
I am hoping to connect my laptop to the GPS unit for on the fly plotting on
the computer. I will also be getting my HAM license so I will be looking for
a 12v. TNC...
WHat do you all use your computers for?
