Hi Barbara, thanks for your reply. Yes, we're speaking about the same macaw.
Mayby some day I'll be able to obtain a pair. For now my pet scarlet, pair of
AGs, pair of white face tiels, and cuban finches should be enough. Spacially
since I live in an apartment. The book I mentioned is from
W. Lantermann. The catalog says that hes a "World expert", and the book
provides a survey of all the macaws with highly detailed coverage of their
care and breeding in the aviary. Contains 208 pages with 217 full color
photos and drawings. $35.95 plus $2.95 + s/h. I've spent so much on books
allready that I guess I should just close my eyes and order this one too.
In case you are interested the catalog is from AUDOBON PUBLISHING COMPANY,
(516)979-8681. They have a bunch of books, you probably allready have the
good ones allready.
By the way, a few days ago I saw a quite rare and beautiful hybreed. I saw a
green Hyasinth. It was a cross between a male Hyacinth and a female military
macaw. It turned out being like the father except that the blue was replaced
by a deep green. Well just wanted to mention it. TTYL.
