I can't argue with that, on the UI.  The UI on DVD-Creator, is awful, and
takes days/weeks to fully comprehend.  The people using it, have learned to
deal with it's total obtuseness, and there is really no motivation to
change it.  I'm sure the same mentality went into DVD-It, as well.
