Another theory hit me today... the Python DAT drive was removed today for
repairs, leaving only 10MB/s-capable hard disks on our 5MB/s SCSI bus. If we
get no SCSI bus resets with this new configuration, it might be time to buy a
second SCSI controller and run the hard disks at 10MB/s on one controller,
and run the tape backup on the other controller at 5MB/s.
New SCSI cables should be arriving on Monday also.
