I just tried string on a globe.  The SF-London route should go through the
middle of Hudson Bay and south end of Baffin.  But I remember flying that
right over Edmonton (very pretty in winter at night due to their green and
orange street lighting) which is clearly more west, and the track on map
looks to go through the middle of Baffin.  Keeping it more over closer to
towns like Yellowknife and Clyde.  Yellowknife has a military base (I have
a second cousin based there) so would have a long runway.
