My husband and I had a brief fit of insanity over dinner tonight. For
your reading/singing/giggling pleasure, the results follow:
                           FUN, FUN, FUN, BIRDIE STYLE
                      (with apologies to the Beach Boys...)
 She got out of her cage and cruised to the living room stand now,
 She forgot all about bein' good like her Mama commands now,
 She grabs the living room drapes and goes climbing just as fast as she can
 now,
 and she'll have fun, fun, fun till her Mama takes the t-perch away.
 The other birds can't stand her 'cuz she always has the run of the
 place now,
 She made the solid oak moldings look like some old Victorian lace now,
 Sometimes the cats try to catch her but she leads'em on a wild goose
 chase now,
 and she'll have fun, fun, fun till her Mama takes the t-perch away.
 Well, you knew all along that your Mom was gettin' wise to you now,
 And since she put you in your cage you've been thinkin' that your fun is
 all through now,
 But she didn't lock the door, so we've got a lot of things to do now,
 and we'll have fun, fun, fun now that Mama took the t-perch away.
