Michael Stapleton  came up with a such a function (he didn't claim to have
invented it) when the subject came up in C_Echo a few years back.  IIRC
basically you feed it two integers, some arithmetic is involved and it
emits a pythagorean triple.  If there are some discrete math experts her
they probably know of what I speak.

I should have the source somewhere on my hard drive... but where?
