Hello Rod, Rod Gasson on 02-20-97 Spoke to Ron T about car RG>G'day Ron, RG>18 Feb 97 09:28, Ron T Lewis wrote to Chris Burgess: RG> RTL> I'm geting rather tired of this crap about 'cracked brake RG> RTL> hoses' being a danger to the public. Jesus christ Rod, a bloody radiator hose shares absolutely NO resemblance in make or design with a high pressure brake hose. The outer skin of a radiator hose is load bearing material and decreases the capacity of the hose if damaged.. The high pressure hose outer skin shares NO such responsibility, in fact the hose would operate for it's entire design life quite happily without the outer skin. The skin is ONLY there to protect the high pressure webbing from EXTERNAL damage and it having a crack is absolutely of no importance. There is NO reasonable excuse for intelligent people to tell Paul he's risking life and limb driving a car with cracked brake hoses unless someone can tell him the high pressure webbing or inner tubing is also damaged.. (OH! Well, Lifes like that Sumtimes) Regards Ron T Lewis ___ X CMPQwk #1.42X UNREGISTERED EVALUATION COPY --- Maximus/2 3.01* Origin: Soft-Tech, Qld, Australia +61-7-3869-2666 (3:640/201) SEEN-BY: 50/99 54/99 620/243 623/630 640/201 217 230 238 254 257 305 309 370 SEEN-BY: 640/547 812 820 821 822 823 829 837 711/413 430 934 712/311 407 505 SEEN-BY: 712/506 517 610 623 624 704 713/317 714/906 800/1 @PATH: 640/201 820 712/624 711/934 |
