CLI need some help! I have two Oscars that I have had for almost 3 years.
CLThey've done well together and have always been very healthy. Last month
CLI noticed a spot on Ozzy that I assumed was a battle wound. However, the
CLspot has enlarged and 3 more have cropped up. I swear, it looks like
CLsomething is eating away at the fish! I went to my local fish store and
CLhe showed me a pamphlet with various diseases in it. Nothing looked
CLsimular to what Ozzy has. I have been treating the tank with some kinda
CLparisite medicine the fish store gave me (Contra Spot). Just yesterday I
CLnoticed the same type of "wound" on Dio, my other Oscar. They're appetite
CLis still good. They don't act sick. Anyone have any ideas? I've grown
CLvery attached to these guys and really would be sick to see anything
CLhappen to them. :( Oh yeah, I have a rather large pleco in the tank
CLalso.
CLCharlotte
Sounds like hole in the head to me. There is medicine just for this
condition. (can't remember what its called) Its been a long time since I
had Oscars. Pick up the meds for that condition and you should be ok.
Oscars are tough fish.
