Number one, tthe commndeering concept has been around since the shire rfeeve
days and is bot new or untested. Very simple the officer takes the power of
his jurisdiction with him . In horse days it was the horse and posse, in car
days it is vehicles, in spaurcraft days it wil be spacships. I really don't
think the population at large are served wuith this sort of civil
disobedience and without doubt you would make some lawyer have a very good
several years if you tested it. I have some problems with the new "forfeiture
laws but not this onme. You get your commandeered property basck, damages if
any repaired.
All they woulf have to do to take it forever would seizecommandeer it anyway,
either arrest you or not and then declare your disobedience punishable by a
new administrative edict and take your car forever. All it woud take is some
DB> all the way up to the Supreme Court, were it necessary. I'm certain a
DB> local agency would drop theft charges against itself; I'm also certain
DB> a federal court would be willing to hear the mess.
gyngho cop figuring the peg he was going to habg his hat on.
