Earth calling Rich... Microsoft (and, in this case, you) aren't being
insulted and maligned unfairly. On the contrary, you have earned it. If you
want to be treated with respect, all you have to do is earn it by treating
others with respect.

My experience matches Geo's, in that most of the Microsoft employees I have
contact with are helpful and polite in the face of abuse aimed at the
company in general and are widely respected as such (especially Nathan
Mercer and Brett Roberts of Microsoft NZ, take a bow).

With regard to your bleating about Gary's license use violations, it's an
everyday occurrence. People routinely use "other" copies of
windows to fix problems, for example using an OEM or full license CD to
replace damaged files on an OEM preinstall. Technically, it's against the
EULA. But until Microsoft starts actively and systematically tracking down
such cases and prosecuting the perpetrators, you can either suck it up or
accept that we aren't going to accept you whining about it.
