Ah,... maybe that is where the misunderstanding came about. I don't
recall saying anything about disassembling, or converting the boot
record into a .COM file. I simply said to disassemble it to gain an
understanding as to how it worked. Of course it can be modified and
re-assembled. Admittedly, I haven't done that, but I don't doubt that
it can be done. If we can agree on that point, then we really have no
argument, and we can be friends again. [grin]
