FYI, I just today received the Intuit/Quicken 5.0d update disk
from Intuit, along with a letter of explanation and installation
instructions.
 
I took the time to register my copy of Quicken (using their built-in
registration procedure) when I installed it, and their letter said
they were sending the update to all registered users.
 
A couple of days ago, I downloaded what purports to be the 5.0d
update from AOL, and it appears at first glance to the be same that
Intuit/Quicken sent me.
