Hi Peter,
PF> will not start at boot-up. In the last diskette image of FP6, the
PF> unpack created a couple of directories with files in them - can't
PF> remember the exact names - but two files are of interest. I copied them
PF> to my setup and created objects for them on the desktop. They are;
PF> \newtools\tlogoff.exe -a-- 8945 98/02/06 13:26
PF> \newtools\tshutdwn.exe -a-- 8035 98/02/06 13:26
This is of interest. I applied the fixpack on a new install using fast
kick and these files didn't install. I found them right where you said and
they unpacked and work just fine.
PF> immediate Desktop changes not being saved. I believe the tools are meant
PF> for the Workspace on Demand or Network Computer (NC) implementation of
OS/2
PF> (my guess). Have fun..
Do you happen to have remote support installed. They could be tools for
dial in service to be able to reboot after a remote "fix".
