DB> How would you like to have Warlock, Dr. Strange, Ant-Man, Human
DB> Torch & Sub-Mariner all join Iron Fist (& Powerman) for Heroes for
DB> Hire?
DH> That'd be a mighty impressive team, IMO... and one I'd love to
DH> see happen... although, I've gotta wonder whether somebody like Adam
DH> Warlock or Doctor Strange would work for a comporate entity like
DH> Oracle. That may be a little too mercenary for them. BTW, Ant-Man is
DH> already a member of Heroes For Hire.

I seriously doubt that they would co-operate for this kind of team, same goes
for Sub-Mariner. Ant-Man with the Heroes for Hire is a good move, since
there wouldn't be any need for both him and The Wasp in The Avengers roster.
I think that Doctor Strange, Adam Warlock, and The Sub-Mariner would all fit
in best as The Defenders.

DB> Already John Hammond is associated with the team, so if he could
DB> regain his flame powers there you go!

DH> Having read the description for one of the upcoming issues of
DH> "Heroes For Hire", I'm kinda wondering whether the writers have plans
DH> for Hammond... which might include getting his powers back. I guess
DH> we'll have to keep our fingers crossed.

I hope your instincts are right! I would rather have him as The Original
Human Torch, than an all-new character altogether. It took a very long time
for me to accept Alan Scott as The Sentinel!

 DH> It's also worth mentioning that I wasn't specific enough when I
DH> named the Human Torch as a character I'd like to see get a mini-
DH> series. I was talking about the Fantastic Four's Torch... not the
DH> original (although both of 'em are good candidates for solo mini-
 DH> series IMO).

I would imagine that if there was to be a solo series for the Human Torch, it
would go to the original, because the Silver Age Human Torch is more of a
team-player and is so well identified with The Fantastic Four. However, I am
sure that Johnny Storm does occassionally depart from the team and fights on
his own.

I been kinda hoping that the Original Human Torch would have done a hitch in
place of Sub-Mariner in Marvel Team-Up and have both Human Torch's team-up
with each other, with some mentioning of Toro in their conversations. Like
thinking of how much Johnny reminded him of Toro.
