ALL revelation is anthropomorphic. It has to be because we are human. So often, though not always, the portrayal of events are presented anthropomorphically. To speak of the "hand" or the "eye" of God is no different that to speak of the "mind of God" or even "change His mind." We could look at His "change of mind" concerning Nineva or a few other passages. But we must also look at the full scope of Scripture. For instance: Mal. 3:6 "For I, the Lord, do not change; therefore you, O sons of Jacob, are not consumed. Heb. 13:8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today, yes and forever. If God were ever to actually "change His mind" would require us to change his name to god. Also, this involves the entire issue of authority and revelation. If you are suggesting that God actually can "repent" or "change" then you are necessitating that "chance" lies behind Him and that His consciousness is chronological. This simply does not conform to what is revealed to us in Scripture. ((( s.r.c.b-s is a moderated group.
